The Prince George’s African American Museum & Culture Center (PGAAMCC) will be located on a 2.5 acre site along Route 1 in North Brentwood, Maryland (just outside of Washington D.C.) in the Gateway Arts District. It is slated to be a landmark building and a major tourist destination for the county. The 76,000-square-foot facility is anticipated to hold 34,000 square feet of permanent and temporary exhibit space, a 200-seat auditorium, community meeting rooms, classrooms, and a museum store.
